Barcelona, March 21, 2017 – Ten years after its consolidation as the annual platform for the Mediterranean economy and its worldwide promotion, the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders will have its own Advisory Council since this year. This consultative body will bring together economic and social figures from various European countries and the Mediterranean region to contribute their experience and knowledge to consolidate Barcelona as the reference city for regional development.

A Brand New Advisory Council

The official launch of this Council, which took place today in Barcelona, has served as an occasion for the election of Josep Antoni Duran i Lleida (former President of the Permanent Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Congress of the Deputies of Spain) and its two vice-presidents: Mohamed Choucair (President of ASCAME) and Miquel Valls (President of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona).
