The Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) is an international non-profit organization that represents the private sector in the Mediterranean and brings together 150 Chambers of Commerce and Industry and business organisations from 18 Mediterranean countries on both shores of the region.
Since its foundation, ASCAME has played a strategic role in promoting economic integration, regional cooperation, and public-private partnerships across the Mediterranean basin. For more than 35 years, ASCAME has been actively working to provide tools capable of providing effective responses to the challenges and opportunities that both Chambers of Commerce and Mediterranean SMEs have to face in a global competitive environment.
A PARTNERSHIP FOR REGIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
ASCAME’s main objective is to promote the economic integration of the Mediterranean and the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, through the key role of the private sector.

ASCAME CREATION
Created on the 1st of October 1982 on the initiative of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Mediterranean partners, the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) has the primary ambition of encouraging economic cooperation in the Mediterranean.
