1 March 2016 – In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) was officially promoted the project “Year of Entrepreneurship 2016” implemented by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Economy, with the participation of a large number of partners, with the aim to support the development of entrepreneurial spirit and strengthening private initiative.

Entrepreneurship is a key source of economic growth, innovation, job creation, social integration. Entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial spirit and culture are not only economic terms – it is a way of thinking, the search for an idea, not accepting the existing state of things, said Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

“Year of Entrepreneurship 2016” Minister of Economy Željko Sertić explained, is based on three main pillars – improving the business environment, direct support to entrepreneurs and the development of entrepreneurial spirit. It will be focused on the modernization of the legislative and regulatory framework, business infrastructure, improvement of administrative procedures and the involvement of the business sector in the creation of policies and programs.

The presentation of the “Year of Entrepreneurship 2016” in the CCIS was attended by many ambassadors in Serbia, members of the Government of Serbia – Vice President Zorana Mihajlović, Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, Minister of Agriculture Snežana Bogosavljević-Bošković, Minister of Energy Aleksandar Antić, Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić, Minister for Labour, employment, social and veterans’ affairs Aleksandar Vulin, NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković.
