Since this week, citizens and businesses in Barcelona will have the opportunity to learn more about the FOSTEr in MED project, which aims to transfer knowledge in the field of innovative solar energy in the Mediterranean region and to implement and promote innovative solar energy technologies at the level of civil society. This project is funded by the EU under the ENPI CBC Med programme,
An Info Point has been established at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Avenida Diagonal 452 and will be located at the main entrance of the Chamber until June 2016.
The setting up of these Info Points allows the optimisation and promotion of the project, but also the dissemination of the results obtained through the project and the identification of interested shareholders.
The objectives of the info point will be twofold. On the one hand, the info points will disseminate the results and activities of the project to the citizens. On the other hand, the info points will offer a technical service to the local private sector (especially SMEs) interested in innovative technologies and technical solutions concerning the solar energy sector.
The members of the project that will have an Info Point established in their headquarters are ASCAME (General Secretariat of the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Spain); CSPI (the Special Agency for Business Services, Italy); CEEBA (the Egyptian Confederation of European Business Associations, Egypt) and IRI (the Industrial Research Institute, Lebanon).
All consortium members involved in the setting up of these info points will have a stand at their headquarters. Project materials will be displayed at this stand with a view to providing concise and relevant information to the business community and the general public. Passers-by and interested parties will be able to benefit from extensive information that they can browse through about the project’s objectives, pilot actions, similar initiatives or upcoming events that will take place within the framework of the project.
