The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sassari and Habitat World are organizing an International Prize called “Mediterranean Heritage of Humanity International Award”. The award aims at awarding and promoting the best projects for an innovative future of relaunch of prosperity with full respect for the human and environmental resources, according to the new economic paradigm and with the application of sustainable technology that has reached enormous technical efficiency and technology.
The award has two categories:
- Projects on Sustainable Regeneration and Recovery: Innovative projects of regeneration in safeguarding of coastal areas, fluvial and marine environment; projects of reconversion of industrial sites and unused port areas; key innovative projects for the economic and environmental sustainability of tourism, commercial and industrial harbours.
- Projects of Arts and Culture: Artistic and cultural projects which are innovative and provide for the involvement and the social participation, focusing on the upkeep and valorization of the historical and artistic heritage, with particular attention to the environment, the landscape and the historical stratification of the areas in which they are inserted; innovative projects for the recovery of arts and professions in particular vis-a-vis the sea and the nautical environment.
Eligible candidates are: enterprises, start-ups, academic, scientific and university spin-offs, occasional working groups, non-profit organizations, associations and cultural foundations, individual professionals and inventor citizens (architects, artisans, artists, etc).
The deadline for applications is 17th April 2019.
