Building upon the achievements of 2023, ASCAME is gearing up for a transformative year with a heightened focus on sustainable business development and robust climate change initiatives. In addressing climate change, ASCAME’s Action Plan 2024 emphasizes collaborative initiatives for environmental protection, social justice, and a sustainable economy across all 43 countries in the region. Key components include the joint implementation of cutting-edge green technologies, reduction of carbon footprint, and promotion of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal power.

This year’s strategy also focuses on digitalisation and innovation through the Mediterranean, launching new partnerships between public and private sectors from Europe, the Middle East and Africa to boost economic and sustainable development in the region, and supporting SMEs in developing innovative and sustainable projects.
