The President of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Josep Santacreu, in his capacity as President of ASCAME, received Mr. Abdellah Seriai, President of the Spanish-Algerian Business Forum, on the 29th January 2026. The meeting addressed the current state of economic relations between Algeria, Spain, and the wider Mediterranean region.

In this context, Mr. Seriai presented the Spanish-Algerian Business Forum as an institutional business platform created to strengthen and consolidate economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries.

Mr. Seriai also shared details about an upcoming Agriculture Forum in Algeria next April, inviting companies from the sector to participate. Additionally, the Chamber of Commerce of Terrassa and the Chamber of Tarragona have planned two commercial visits to Algeria in the coming months.
