Barcelona, 23 November – The Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) participated on 17th and 19th November at Smart City Expo World Congress, the largest international congress of the smart cities sector. This year, the event was attended by 500 cities from 5 continents, 465 exhibitors and over than 400 speakers.
ASCAME attended the fair on behalf of the European project Foster in Med (FOSTEring solar technology in the Mediterranean area), a project funded by the European Programme ENPI CBC MED. The project aims to promote the adoption of photovoltaic technology in the Mediterranean region.
ASCAME attended the event as the leader of the capitalization role of the project. The Association is fully committed to the sustainable development of Mediterranean cities and the production and use of renewable energy sources within these cities.
