Barcelona, 23 March 2016 – The Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), strongly condemns the terrorist attack that was carried out yesterday in Brussels and extends our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the attack and to the Belgian people, wishing a full recovery to those injured.
The conflicts in countries such as Libya, Syria and Palestine, as well as terrorist attacks, safety, energy, the refugees and the migration problems must become priorities in which the EU must participate in order to solve these issues.
The response to this blind violence that has plagued Tunisia, Turkey, Lebanon, France and Belgium and the war in Syria, must obtain a response of unity against the terror and a firm commitment by the economic and social development of the Euro-Mediterranean region to avoid the risk of social and economic disintegration.
