The MedDiet project aims to raise the awareness of consumers about the importance of the Mediterranean Diet, as an integral part of the Mediterranean lifestyle, and as a vehicle for development, stability and solidarity in the Mediterranean basin.

- 6,000 students, teachers and school directors involved in nutrition education initiatives
- 250 promoters of local authorities trained in organizing and managing Mediterranean Diet initiatives targeted to consumers
- 36 institutions sign a Declaration on Safeguard and Promotion of the Mediterranean Diet
