- President, ASCAME Transport & Logistics Commission
- President, Croatian Chamber of Economy - County Chamber Rijeka
The Croatian economy is historically oriented towards sea-related activities. In the Republic of Croatia, Blue economy employs 132,000 people and generates 2.8 billion gross added value, and given that ASCAME countries are mainly maritime countries, most of the EU economy is facing economic activities directly or indirectly linked to the sea.
With the aim of promoting the Blue Economy and Sustainable Development and Recognizing the Importance and Potential of the Blue and Green Industries, the CCE- Rijeka County Chamber, in cooperation with the Kingdom of Norway, as a partner country, organizes AdRia4Blue economic event dedicated to the Blue Economy and Sustainable Development.
The main objective of this event is to reach all involved stakeholders (4helix) in order to increase networking among potential clients, investors, innovators, service providers and policymakers of the Blue Economy. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) predicts that the global Blue Growth will be twice as fast as other economic sectors.by 2030. In order to raise awareness of the importance of the Blue Economy, we have linked the three main themes to our event, as follows:
- GREEN COASTS, CLEAN WATER AND SEA
- GREEN AND SMART NAVIGATION
- FOOD AND HEALTH FROM THE SEA AND BY THE SEA
The AdRia4Blue event will take place in Rijeka from 6th- 7th of June 2019, and will include an exhibition, presentation and conference section. It will be held in the beautiful ambience of the Rijeka harbour and at the same time and place as 20th anniversary of the famous Fiumanka sailing regatta, which is attended by a large number of business people from Europe and the world each year.
We expect numerous business sector participants at this business event and YOU at conferences and B2B meetings, and together we will contribute to the development of the Mediterranean Blue Economy.
