Barcelona, 29th of October 2015 – The Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) has recently participated in a total of four trade fairs for the renewable energy sector on behalf of the European project Foster in Med.
The Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) has recently participated in a total of four trade fairs for the renewable energy sector: Fira del Medi Ambient, Greencities & Sostenibilidad, Egética Feria de las Energías y Ecoviure, which gathered more than 20,000 visitors and 580 exhibitors.
ASCAME attended these events on behalf of the Foster in MED project (Promoting Solar Technology in the Mediterranean region) funded by the European program ENPI CBC MED. The trade fairs were an opportunity to present the successful results of the project in the region, such as the installation of five solar power plants in public buildings in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Italy with a total of 85 MW of reached potential.
During the gatherings, national and international professionals and exhibitors from the public and private sector could show their latest innovations in the field of renewable energies, from hybrid and electric vehicles to sustainable mobility and smart city models in Spain and foreign markets.
ASCAME is a partner of Foster in Med project, leading the capitalization role and other awareness activities in order to promote the solar photovoltaic energy as a motor for sustainable development of the Mediterranean region.
