Description

ASCAME supports the Mediterranean as an employment area.

On 17 March in Marseille, the launching conference of the HOMERe project will be held. The main objective of this project is to strengthen the employability of young high-level graduates and facilitate their access to their first quality jobs through a 6-month international internship at the headquarters of a company in the Mediterranean region.

On the other hand, HOMERe will facilitate and guarantee the hiring procedures and the success of the recruitment processes of employers in the countries participating in the project, by identifying graduates corresponding to their development needs in the Mediterranean and enriching the training of these graduates with a practical end of studies internship corresponding to a real project of the company.

The HOMERe project involves 4 countries from the northern shore (Spain, France, Greece, Italy) and 5 countries from the southern shore (Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia) of the Mediterranean rim.

Initiated by the Réseau Méditerranéen des Ecoles d’Ingénieur et de Management (RMEI) and the French Foreign Trade Advisors, this programme is now labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and supported by a dozen local and regional Mediterranean organisations such as the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BusinessMed), the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED), etc.
