MedaWeek Barcelona closes its 13th edition with a firm commitment to green economy, female talent and Africa

The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders, MedaWeek Barcelona, ​​concluded its 13th edition with a total of 1,280 international participants. Sustainable economy, the incorporation of female talent into the regional economy and the opening of the African market to Mediterranean companies were the key axes of the main economic event in the region.

ASCAME co-organised the Blue Growth and Green Growth Communities joint event in Brussels

The joint event “Transition towards blue and green economies in the Mediterranean” was organised by both the Blue Growth and the Green Growth Communities Interreg Med on the 19 and 20 September 2019 in Brussels, with the collaboration of ASCAME as member of the Consortium in charge of the Blue Growth Community. An event were participants where encouraged to get involved in Blue and Green Economies sectors and several synergies among Mediterranean projects funded by EU programmes were created.

MAIA-TAQA European Project kicks-off with ASCAME as partner

ASCAME (Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry), as one of the partners of the new MAIA-TAQA European Project, will participate in the project kick-off meeting that will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2019 at the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving - CRES, in Pikermi (Greece).

MedaWeek Barcelona 2017 celebrates diversity and triumphs over regional uncertainties

The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek Barcelona) today closed its 11th edition with two key messages for the region, and wider international public. The first, is launching new initiatives for greater socio-economic development in the Mediterranean, in order to foster cross-border collaboration. The other – and by no means less important – is to consolidate Barcelona as the regional socio-economic hub, making it the Mediterranean city for exchange, dialogue and integration.
