For the first time, a high representative stands for the private sector in this ministerial meeting

President Mohamed Choucair has represented ASCAME during the 9th ministerial meeting on Euro-Mediterranean industrial cooperation

The event took place on the 19th of February in Brussels. 43 ministers from UfM countries met in order to discuss subjects related to the industrial cooperation, especially the future strategy of industrial cooperation, a strategy ASCAME has heavily participated in with the aim to defend the interests of Mediterranean SMEs.

Barcelona becomes the real estate sector capital with the "Mediterranean Real Estate Forum"

Barcelona will host on October 17th the first "Mediterranean Real Estate Forum", which will stand as the meeting point for organisations and professionals from one of the key sectors for the Mediterranean region economy: the real estate. A forum that will highlight investment and development opportunities in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa and will serve as a platform for business exchange and cooperation.

ASCAME fosters new areas of investment through the new MAIA-TAQA European Project

“Mobilizing new Areas of Investments and Together aiming to Increase Quality of Life for All” is the aim of the recently launched ‘MAIA-TAQA’ European Project, whose kick-off event was held on the 2nd and 3rd October at the Greek Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES). ASCAME, as one of the project partners and co-organisers of the event, promoted actively MAIA-TAQA main activities.

ASCAME co-organised the Blue Growth and Green Growth Communities joint event in Brussels

The joint event “Transition towards blue and green economies in the Mediterranean” was organised by both the Blue Growth and the Green Growth Communities Interreg Med on the 19 and 20 September 2019 in Brussels, with the collaboration of ASCAME as member of the Consortium in charge of the Blue Growth Community. An event were participants where encouraged to get involved in Blue and Green Economies sectors and several synergies among Mediterranean projects funded by EU programmes were created.

MAIA-TAQA European Project kicks-off with ASCAME as partner

ASCAME (Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry), as one of the partners of the new MAIA-TAQA European Project, will participate in the project kick-off meeting that will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2019 at the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving - CRES, in Pikermi (Greece).

Decease of Miquel Valls

ASCAME has received with deep sorrow the loss of Miquel Valls, Former President of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and Former Vice President of ASCAME for 17 years. An incontestable model for his ability to build bridges and generate consensus respecting differences, Valls has always worked for the alignment of interests for the sake of a common horizon built by all.

1st Mediterranean Real Estate Forum | Investment opportunities and infrastructure development

The ‘Mediterranean Real Estate Forum 2019: A look into the future’ will be held 17 October 2019 in Barcelona in the framework of the Barcelona Meeting Point (BMP2019). A conference that, on the one hand, will feature panels on public and private markets and regional and sector investment opportunities and, on the other hand, will include corporate presentations by leading and emerging companies as well as One-2-One meetings.

ASCAME, in the framework of the InnoBlueGrowth Project, will co-organise the “Transition towards blue and green economies in the Mediterranean” event that marks the Blue Growth Community’s three years anniversary, representing the end of its first implementation period and bridging to the upcoming one.

Sea Forum - Bizerte 2019

The 2019 Sea Forum will bring together participants and experts from both shores of the Mediterranean (politicians, scientific communities, civil society actors, entrepreneurs, etc.) to share their expertise and influence concrete and achievable commitments for the reasonable exploitation of the sea and coastline.
