Times of change, sustainability and reinvention in Mediterranean Tourism

The Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Egyptian European Business Association, organized on the 13th and 14th of July in Alexandria (Egypt) the 8th Mediterranean Tourism Forum (MEDITOUR), and met with its regional partners of the European project EBSOMED. More than 750 participants from 20 countries gathered at a key summit to discuss the new challenges of a strategic sector for the Mediterranean economy: tourism.

ASCAME co-organised the Blue Growth Community Summer School in Montenegro

ASCAME, the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry, organised, together with other sectoral Mediterranean partners, the Blue Growth Community Summer School, under the title ‘Study Blue: Emerging technologies, trends & opportunities’. A meeting that was held in Kotor (Montenegro) between the 1st-5th of July and attended by students from more than 10 Mediterranean countries.

MedaLogistics Summit | Barcelona, reference for the logistics in the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Summit of Logistics, Transport and Ports 2019 included the 17th edition of the Meda Logistics & Transport Forum and the 12th edition of the Meda Ports & Shipping Summit. Two meetings that are now essential for the main transport and logistics agents and has the aim to conduct an analysis of the sector’s current situation at a regional level, establish the challenges, opportunities and business niches thereof, and serve as a contact platform for representatives of organizations, international and regional associations, businessmen and future investors and partners.

An efficient and sustainable logistics, key for the connection of both shores and the socio-economic development of the Mediterranean

Barcelona has been once again the place where the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Mediterranean (ASCAME) and the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, have organized the MedaLogistics Summit. This Summit, that has become a reference event in the Mediterranean logistics and transport sector, has taken place on the 26th and 27th of June in the framework of the Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain leading congress in Southern Europe (SIL 2019).

MENA-OECD Days 2019

The MENA-OECD Days 2019 will be held in Tunis from 17th to 19th June 2019. The event will held the following meetings: the MENA-OECD Business Advisory Board (BAB) on 17th June, the Steering Group of the MENA-OECD Initiative on Governance and Competitiveness on 18th June, and the 11th meeting of the MENA-OECD Working Group on SMEs and Entrepreneurship Policy on 19th June.

The 2014-2020 ENI CBC MED has opened its Call for Strategic Project Proposals with 7 thematic priorities and a contribution available for this call of about €68.5 million. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 3rd July 2019.

17 years betting on Mediterranean Logistics in Barcelona

Organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) with the support of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Mediterranean Summit on Logistics and Transport will hold its 17th edition on 26th and 27th June within the framework of the InTrade Summit BCN, which will take place as part of the leading Trade Fair for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain of Southern Europe (SIL 2019).
