For the first time, a high representative stands for the private sector in this ministerial meeting

The 'Mediterranean North Africa Countries Meeting', held on February 25 in online format, counted on the participation of high-level speakers who presented their knowledge, experience and good practices to face the crisis after the COVID-19 pandemic in North African countries. Trade, investment, innovation and the green revolution were the key topics discussed in the two sessions of the first MedaMeeting (Mediterranean Meeting).

The new declaration presented at MedaWeek Barcelona includes 25 initiatives for the New Economic Development Model in the Mediterranean region -'Back to Barcelona Vocation'-.

The Innovation and Digitalisation Summit will take place on Wednesday 18 November and will be responsible for inaugurating MedaWeek Barcelona 2020.

The 'Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders', the reference event to promote Mediterranean economies, business cooperation and the Mediterranean region around the world, celebrates this year its 14th edition in hybrid format for the first time, with a face-to-face inauguration at the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona and the virtual celebration of more than 14 forums, sessions and conferences, as well as different presentations of various initiatives to reactivate Mediterranean economies and the association between Europe and the Mediterranean, which will be held on the 18, 19 and 20 November.

The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders, MedaWeek Barcelona, reaches this year its 14th edition immersed in a context of high uncertainty and social and economic crisis. Therefore, now more than ever, it is necessary for all actors in the Mediterranean region to join forces to face the challenges of the post-pandemic era and relaunch the Mediterranean integration process promoted 25 years ago in Barcelona.
