ASCAME continues to create platforms of networking, reflection, and doing business for Mediterranean companies and emerging sectors

In 2015 ASCAME will organize more than 20 business and sectorial events in several countries of the Mediterranean region

Throughout the year ASCAME will organize events and business acts in different countries of the Mediterranean region such as Egypt, France, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria and Spain, to promote the business development and economic cooperation and to support emerging sectors in Mediterranean countries.

This year one of the main challenges is the organization of events and promotion activities concerning key sectors in the Mediterranean, such as renewable energies and solar energy industry; transport and logistics, cosmetics textiles, food and gastronomy, cruise and tourism, urban governance and the automotive sector. ASCAME will organize a total of 20 business events, involving leading companies from more than 22 countries.

The activities will start on the 30th and 31st of March with the ReaMed in Marseilles (France) focusing on the opportunities of the regulations and norms of the European market for Mediterranean businesses.

In May in Venice (Italy) a transnational networking workshop will take place in the framework of the FIREMED project, promoting innovative financial solutions and instruments for financing renewable energy in the Mediterranean.

In the framework of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition in Barcelona, on the 9th and 10th of June, the 13th Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum, as well as the 8th Mediterranean Ports Summit.

MedCosmetics will represent the first forum about the Mediterranean Cosmetics industry. It will be held in Rabat (Morocco) at the end of October and will host the International Cosmetic Exhibition in the Mediterranean.

In November, Alexandria (Egypt) will host the Meditex forum focusing on the textile industry. Other conferences about the sector will also take place in the framework of EuroMed Invest, SUSTEXNET and TEXMED.

At the end of November the 9th Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders will be organized in Barcelona. This year, the event will count on more than 10 forums: the Mediterranean Solar Forum; the 12th North African Business and Development Forum; the 7th Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum; the 3rd Islamic Finance Summit; the 7th Mediterranean Economic Cities Forum; the 1st Automobile and Automotive Industry in the Mediterranean Summit, an event about e-health and the first Mediterranean Cruise Industry Forum.

In January 2016 ASCAME will promote for the first time the Mediterranean food industry outside the region in the framework of a program whose aim is to foster and export the Mediterranean global offer in key sectors such as food, textile, franchise, tourism, building etc… throughout the world. For its first edition, this fair will be held in the Gulf region but the next editions will be celebrated in the United States, Brazil, China, and in the Gulf in the MEDIFOOD exhibition. The Mediterranean food exhibition will be held in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

Since 1982 ASCAME has been improving its support of Mediterranean businesses and the regional economy in order to foster Mediterranean integration and promote the region all around the world, because together we will go further.
