The 8th Mediterranean Ports and Shipping Summit is one of the largest annual Ports and Shipping Conferences throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Mediterranean Port Summit gathers maritime industry leaders. The program features many top industry professionals sharing their perspectives on port investments and terminal developments around the region, providing invaluable insights into the numerous opportunities in this sector.
Under the slogan “Looking beyond the sea” the summit will focus on key concepts such as institutional and fiscal reforms; the construction, extension and modernization of port platforms; the search for management and collaboration systems; the promotion of alliances to strengthen the position of world leadership; Mediterranean’s Ports a Gateway to Europe, Asia and Africa; the Port, City and Cruise Tourism, as well as the response of Mediterranean ports to the challenges brought by 800 million people.
The event will also be held in the framework of the OPTIMED project, which is co-financed by the European Union through the ENPI CBC MED programme, and aims improving commercial connections in transport and logistics between public and private operators of Lebanon, Italy, Spain and France.
In the frame-work of the EUROMED Invest and OPTIMED projects, the Meda Logistics & Transport Roadshow will promote the South ENPI countries together at SIL 2015, organizing a MED Pavilion and B2B meetings for visiting SMEs from the southern and eastern Mediterranean.
This year will be focused on the 20 years since Barcelona Process and the future of the shipping markets, which is of vital interest to operators, companies, key investors in shipping, regulators, port and terminal authorities.
