ASCAME – in the framework of the EBSOMED project – is organizing with his affiliates: Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Beirut Chamber of Commerce, among other, the ASCAME Business Matchmaking Forum.
As part of the EBSOMED project and in the context of the International Logistics Forum – SIL, ASCAME and its affiliates organize in Barcelona, Spain, on 26-27 June 2019, the EBSOMED Business Matchmaking Forum "A Sea Change in Mediterranean Logistics and Transports". The SIL is a leading exhibition event gathering 650 exhibitors from the logistics, maritime, transport and infrastructure sector that takes place yearly in Barcelona since 1998 (21st edition).
This two-day Forum will work as peer-to-peer capacity training to boost the competencies of Business Support Organisations (BSOs) and the role of SMEs with different sessions that will focus on the role of the Mediterranean region on the Transport and Logistics global scene.
The event will be implemented in the form of round-tables and debates and will include a networking event targeting the European and Mediterranean markets.
The Business Matchmaking Forum will be implemented in order to help Mediterranean BSOs to improve their capacity to properly serve SMEs interests and needs.
This activity aims at expanding the level understanding of BSOs of the current challenges and opportunities of the Transport & Logistics sector in the Mediterranean region so that they can improve the services they provide to the SMEs specialising in these sectors.
In the same way, this forum will serve as a platform to boost cooperation and business alliances between BSOs and companies from northern and southern countries of the Mediterranean.

This event is financed under the umbrella of the EBSOMED project, Enhancing Business Support Organizations and Business Networks in the Southern Neighbourhood. It will last 4 years and is co-financed (at 80%) by the European Commission for a total budget of 6 million Euros.
The project, which is an extension of the successful previous projects EUROMED Invest and Invest in Med funded starting in 2008, is coordinated by BUSINESSMED together with ASCAME, GACIC, EUROCHAMBRES, ANIMA and CAWTAR.
