ASCAME’s work focuses on the economic and commercial activities which involve enterprises of the Mediterranean countries.

During the last 30 years, ASCAME has been actively working in order to provide tools capable of bringing effective answers to the challenges and opportunities that Chambers of Commerce and Mediterranean SMEs have to face in a global competitive environment.

  • The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek)

The Mediterranean Week was launched in 2007 by ASCAME and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Shipping of Barcelona. Over the years, this annual event has become the major economic gathering in the Mediterranean and is seen today as a unique opportunity for reflection and exchange of experiences regarding the main economic issues in the region.

  • The Meda Logistics Summit

The Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum and the Mediterranean Ports and Shipping Summit are annually organized by ASCAME in the framework of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition (SIL) as proof of commitment to the industry as a fundamental basis for the regional economic integration. Since 2003 the event has provided the sector with a platform for exchange, business cooperation and reflection.

  • Meditour Forum

The Mediterranean Tourism Forum is the result of the shared ambition of all the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the ASCAME network to create and implement a programme of international interest, addressing the core issues of the Mediterranean tourism sector. More concretely, this bi-annual event represents a great opportunity for the Mediterranean Tourism professionals to discuss the challenges in the Mediterranean tourism and find common and constructive solutions for the further sustainable growth of the MediterraneanTourism Industry.

  • Meditex Forum

The Mediterranean Textile Forum aims at recognizing the importance of the textile industry in the Mediterranean. Today, this industry plays a key role in the improvement of economic conditions, especially in the South of the Mediterranean, where the sector is of key importance. The Meditex Forum already took place in Morocco, Istanbul and Egypt.
